Lead Work Solutions wasn’t built in a boardroom — it started at a kitchen table.
In 2017, our founder was helping a close friend navigate the confusing process of preparing legal documents after the loss of a family member. It was overwhelming. Forms were vague. Templates were outdated. Everything felt buried in jargon, making an already emotional situation even harder. What should have been a straightforward process became a maze of uncertainty. That moment sparked a question: Why is it so difficult for everyday people to access clear, reliable help for something so important?
From that question, Lead Work Solutions was born.
What started as a small project — a shared folder of simplified templates and checklists — quickly grew into a mission. Our founder, along with a group of experienced paralegals, writers, and operations professionals, set out to build something different: a service that strips away complexity and offers real, accessible guidance for individuals handling important personal and business decisions.
We knew people didn’t need more information — they needed better information. Plain language. Practical tools. And a voice that didn’t talk down to them.
Where We Come From
We’re proud to be based in Austin, Texas, with remote team members across the U.S., from Portland, Oregon to Columbus, Ohio, and Tampa, Florida. Our diverse backgrounds reflect the variety of clients we serve — teachers, freelancers, caregivers, first-time business owners, retirees, young professionals, and so many others navigating unfamiliar territory.
Many of us have been on the client side ourselves. We’ve had to settle disputes without a formal background. We’ve formed businesses on tight budgets. We’ve supported family members through major life transitions. That firsthand experience is what fuels our commitment to make the process easier for others.
